About XANDER HARRIS
Harris is an electronic artist providing a growing balance between tense atmospherics, italo camp and psychedelic flair. His exploration of Giallo sounds landed his well-received debut "Urban Gothic" on Fact Magazine's Best 50 LPs of 2011 list. The last year has found the native Texan equipped with a diverse discography and live performances that have taken him across the world.
About FLATLINER
Out of the rich and thriving electronic community of Austin, TX, Flatliner has at last surfaced from the shadows of obscurity with the duo's debut EP Black Medicine. Inspired by the entrenched ethos of live-hardware sequencing cultivated within the local electronic establishment, Flatliner fully embraces and embellishes the marriage of modern gear with vintage tones. Jesse Strait and Adam Fangsrud have expertly honed their dance-based sonic dystopia using a formidable collection of high-end studio equipment and hoards of rare synthesizers. As a result, Flatliner's debut is a testament to Strait and Fangsrud's uncompromising production standards, transforming volumes of expansive studio experimentation into an ominous yet seductive euphoria.

Though Wells and Immel-Brown have been producing under the FUNERALS name since 2009 (part of that with Warm Hands’ Conrad Vollmer), it wasn’t until late 2010 that they found their center: Watery, fluid beats inspired in part by their fixation on Polynesian art and culture, as well as artists such as Pantha du Prince, AGF/Delay and The Field. What comes out, of course, is a jumble of the references: so many jagged edges, acidic and peaceful in equal parts. They released their first proper single, AITU (LQD LIVE EDIT), on a Mishka NYC compilation in November 2010 and began working with San Francisco’s Tundra Dubs shortly after. In April 2011, the label released their debut EP MARAE, featuring four original tracks and a remix of AITU from Canada’s Jokers of the Scene.
FUNERALS spent much of early 2011 appearing at events such as Columbus dance night KVLT (with oOoOO and Cult of Youth), NYC’s Pendu (with Jewels of the Nile, oOoOO/Butterclock and Religious to Damn) and Cleveland’s Get Up! (with Textbeak). They also began diving into remix work, taking on tracks from Burial Hex, Ritualz, Violet Tremors, plus/minus and ?AIMON. In October 2011, Tundra released MARAE: REMIXES, a free digital download featuring tracks by some of their favorite producers, including Trouble & Bass’ Star Eyes, the inimitable Ritualz and Mishka’s own Baryshnikov. The album also features FUNERALS’ first original track since April, TO THE END. It’s almost a statement of intent for the duo: languorous, seething IDM beats set beneath a pile of woven melody and Wells’ clipped vocals. This is the future of FUNERALS.
The duo are currently working on new tracks for several upcoming releases, plus remixes for Soft Riot, Goteki and UK blog Get Down or Die.
